This prestigious event has been going on for over 30 years, and it's a must-see for anyone interested in arts and culture. Here are a few things you need to know about Celebration of Fine Art in Scottsdale:

Who Founded Celebration Of Fine Art In Scottsdale?

It was founded by Tom and Ann Morrow. They set out to make their idea a reality in the late 1980s, inspired by the Laguna Beach Festival of Art in California. They knew just where to accomplish it: Scottsdale. The Celebration of Fine Art opened its doors to its "great white tents" in 1991, with the assistance of municipal authorities and the community, encouraging art enthusiasts to connect with or just observe the 100 fine-art artists develop their work during the duration of the eight-week display.

Tom's daughter Susan Morrow Potje and her husband Jake continue the heritage, passion, and devotion today. In 2004, they took over as president, with the goal of preserving the Celebration of Fine Art's culture as a meeting place for art enthusiasts and artists.

How Much Did They Earn The First Year?

The show ran for eight weeks in its initial year and grossed less than $400,000 in ticket sales. Its revenues have risen year after year, and it now averages $6 million each year.

According to the Art Basel and UBS research, The Art Industry 2020, the Celebration of Fine Art is part of a worldwide art market that produced $64.1 billion in sales in 2019. It has also become a part of a rising segment of the market, with online art sales expected to reach $9.3 billion by 2024.

The average yearly attendance of more than 50,000 highly educated and well-to-do tourists has increased substantially. According to a recent poll, the majority of out-of-town tourists spend 16 days in Scottsdale, which is more than twice the typical visitor's stay.
